David Craig is and has been the senior pastor of Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church since 1981. A Birmingham native, a graduate of Wenonah High School, the Birmingham-Easonian Bible College, and the Birmingham Theological Seminary. Pastor Craig holds membership in several community and religious organizations. He serves on the Executive Board of the Alabama Baptist State Convention and Lecturer for the Mount Pilgrim #2 District Association of Christian Education.
Pastor Craig has received many honors and awards. Some of them includes: The Mayor’s Visionary Award, Fairfield AL; Outstanding Service and Exceptional Dedication Award from Congressman Earl Hilliard, Alabama 7th District; and numerous Community Service Awards.
David and his wife Lauraetta have three daughters; Kisha, Indrea and Alexis and four grandchildren; Aundreia, Ariel, Lexington, and Lennox all who reside in the Birmingham area. David Craig, is also the author of three books “Revival Begins with You and Me”, “Why I Should Not Be Broke”, and “Revival of the Local Church.”
